Mitsubishi Galant Σ (A160). 1980–3 (prod. unknown). 4-door sedan, 5-door wagon. F/R, 1597, 1795, 1997 cm³ petrol, 2346 cm³ diesel (4 cyl. OHC). Modernized, more aerodynamic version of A120, though much of the rear of the wagon was carried over. Sedan slightly larger. First Galant Σ with a turbocharged engine: turbocharger added to two-litre Sirius engine. Generally a refined range, improving on A120. Related to Australian-made Mitsubishi Sigma (1982–7) and Lonsdale. In many countries, sold without Σ letter, as Mitsubishi Galant, as Mitsubishi Sigma, or as Colt Galant.
