Mitsubishi Diamante/Mitsubishi Verada (KE/KF/KH/KJ/KL/KW). 1995–2005 (prod. n/a). 4-door hardtop sedan, 5-door wagon. F/F, F/A, 2497, 2972 cm³ (V6 OHC), 2497, 2972, 3497 cm³ (V6 DOHC). Mitsubishi went a more luxurious route for the 1995 Diamante, with gadgets galore, including a lane and distance tracking system. Same wheelbase, but longer overall length. Refined and smooth, but interior space not as substantial as rivals’. Wagon exports to Japan ceased in 2001. Revisions in 2001 and 2003, the latter with an Olivier Boulay-penned grille. Platform related to Hyundai Sonata (EF) and derivatives.
