Mitsubishi Diamante. 1990–5 (prod. unknown). 4-door sedan, 4-door hardtop sedan, 5-door wagon. F/F, F/A, 1998, 2497, 2972 cm³ (V6 OHC), 2497, 2972 cm³ (V6 DOHC). Technologically advanced large car, with production in Japan and Australia, succeeding hardtop version of Galant Σ. Electronic suspension control and four-wheel-steer option. Japanese Car of the Year. Hardtop built in Japan, and station wagon in Australia, though the grille of the Australian model was changed to match the Japanese one in the Japanese market. Good steering and handling, with some body roll and adequate performance. Mid-term changes November 1993. Related, conventional six-light sedan sold in Japan as Mitsubishi Sigma (1990–6).
