Mitsubishi Colt Galant GTO. 1970–6 (prod. n/a). 2-door coupé. F/R, 1597, 1686, 1995 cm³ (I4 OHC), 1597 cm³ (I4 DOHC). Hiroaki Kamisago-penned sports car, based around Colt Galant, but different to coupé offered in that range. More aggressive styling, influenced by international designs. Advertised as Galant GTO usually, with the slogan ‘Hip up coupé’, but Colt badges still appeared on the car. Mid-term changes 1973, after which it ran alongside second-generation Galant.
