Related to Colt 1000, 1100 and 1200, 1500 was a long-wheelbase (an extra 65 mm) luxury version. Van was on SWB chassis. Four headlamps at front, with engine, based on a cut-down Debonair six unit, good for 70 PS and 140 km/h. Sport sedan with shorter wheelbase in 1966, with floor-mounted gearshift and, a first for Mitsubishi, front disc brakes. Angular headlights as part of 1968 facelift, when two-door introduced; 1500 Super Sport with increased compression and twin SU carbs from August that year, with 85 PS and 155 km/h. Sedans cancelled 1969, wagons to 1970.
