Mitsubishi Carisma (DA1/DA2/DA4/DA6A). 1995–2003 (prod. 385,308). 4- and 5-door sedan. F/F, 1298, 1597, 1834 cm³ petrol, 1870 cm³ diesel (I4 OHC), 1834 cm³ (I4 DOHC). A joint-venture vehicle sharing a platform with the Volvo S40 (1995–2004), and made at the same Nedcar plant in the Netherlands, targeting the mid-sized segment in Europe. Japanese design and European build quality might have been the wrong combination, and the Carisma became known for its lack of charisma, namely an absence of style and driving dynamics. Facelifts in 1999 and 2002.

Manufacturing location: Born, Limburg, Netherlands

Marque: Mitsubishi | Predecessor: Mitsubishi Tredia | Successor: Mitsubishi Lancer (2000–)
