Mini Coupé (R58). 2011–14 (prod. n/a). 3-door coupé. F/F, 1598 cm³ petrol, 1995 cm³ diesel (I4 DOHC). Coupé version of two-box Mini, now a two-seater with a three-box shape. Quicker than standard shape thanks to lowered “helmet roof” and smaller frontal area; active rear spoiler on boot deployed at 50 mph. Under the skin, much the same, with Cooper, Cooper S and SD, and John Cooper Works models in parallel with hatchback.
