Minor revisions for Mini, the last for some time. Clubmans dropped with the arrival of Austin Mini Metro, with City and HL trim levels only. Plastic wheel arches, 210 mm brake discs. Estate with Clubman front end, just called HL Estate, built to 1982. Pick-up to 1983 sold as commercial vehicle, not covered here. A-series engine becomes A-Plus, revised in 1982 for economy and ‘E’ added to trim levels (City E, HLE). Mini Mayfair trim introduced September 1982 to replace HLE, continued into 1990s. Sprite began limited editions in 1983. Twelve-inch wheels for 1984 including 25th anniversary model. Five millionth Mini in 1986, with 30th anniversary model in 1989.
