Mercury Milan (CD338). 2006 to date. 4-door sedan. F/F, F/A, 2261 cm³ (4 cyl. DOHC), 2967 cm³ (V6 DOHC). Americanized Mazda 6, carrying on the idea of Australian Ford Telstar in North America. Plusher version of US Ford Fusion and looking much like it, though Mercury grille fits with this shape better than most. Supposedly a Mercury Sable replacement, but bear in mind Sable never grew in size to match Toyota Camry—better thought of as a Mystique replacement, six years on. Fairly successful despite the same relative CD-segment size as old Mercury Mystique—probably because Ford more willing to market the new car. Firmer, sportier ride than Fusion but Accord and Camry have more grunt.

Manufacturing location: Hermosillo, Sonora, México

Marque: Mercury | Predecessor: Mercury Mystique
