F/R, F/A, 2996 cm³ (V6 DOHC), 3982, 4663, 5461 cm³ (V8 DOHC), 5980 cm³ (V12 OHC). Mercedes-Benz renames its top coupés, bringing them back into the S-Klasse. Shown at Frankfurt in 2013. Based on the Mercedes-Benz S-Klasse (W222), but with more flowing bodywork and 9 cm taken out of the wheelbase. Excellent refinement, and extremely comfortable inside. Active Curve Tilting option, which leans the car into the corner, to lessen the centrifugal force on passengers. Heated armrests also an option, along with a fragrance emitter for the cabin. S 500 called S 550 in the US. Four-wheel-drive 4Matic option for S 500 and S 63 AMG. Maybach S 650 Cabriolet limited to 300 units, announced 2016.
