Mercedes-Benz B180/B180 CDI/B200/B200 CDI (W246). 2011 to date (prod. n/a). 5-door estate. F/F, 1595 cm³ petrol, 1796 cm³ diesel (I4 DOHC). Second-generation B-Klasse loses its predecessor’s “sandwich floor” in favour of a more conventional, less efficient design; exterior proportions also less controversial, with sculpting on sides one of the few concessions to differentiation. Less roomy inside, and rear floor no longer flat. More frugal with new engines, and Cd of 0,26. MFA platform designed to be less costly to build. Lower centre of gravity helps with handling, but dynamically not at the top of the class. Diesel engines feel more willing. Gear changes not the quickest in automatic mode.

Manufacturing location: Rastatt, Germany

Marque: Mercedes-Benz | Model: Mercedes-Benz B-Klasse | Predecessor: Mercedes-Benz B-Klasse (T245)
