1997 Mazda Sentia.jpg

Mazda Sentia (HE). 1995–2000 (prod. 18,200 approx.). 4-door sedan. F/R, 2954 cm³ (V6 OHC), 2954 cm³ (V6 DOHC). Boxier, more formal successor to sleek HD, addressing concerns such as rear passenger and boot space, but Sentia then became more a rival to the established Toyota Crown (S150) and Nissan Cedric (Y33), and struggled against both. Developed during an economic downturn, hence there was cost-cutting, seen in the interior. Said to resemble Mazda’s aborted Amati 1000 flagship. Two engines, OHC shared with Mazda MPV (LV) and DOHC, developing 160 hp and 205 hp. Mid-term changes 1997. Also sold as Kia Enterprise (q.v.).

Manufacturing location: Japan

Marque: Mazda | Model: Mazda Sentia | Predecessor: Mazda Sentia (HD)
