Holden Premier-based full-sized sedan, intended for Japanese government officials, but launched in the wake of the fuel crisis and considered a flop. Australian bodyshells of HJ series shipped to Japan where Mazda Wankel engine inserted. Car was expensive (¥3·8 million, double the price of the Mazda Cosmo) and thirsty (9 mpg), and had more extras than original Holden, contributing to weight.
