Mazda Luce (SUA/SUAV/SVA/SVAV). 1966–72 (prod. n/a). 4-door sedan, 5-door wagon. F/R, 1490, 1796 cm³ (I4 OHC). Mazda enters the large car market, with a Bertone design by Giorgetto Giugiaro. Crossflow OHC engine, and good handling. Twin-carb SS model and station wagon from 1967. Larger 100 PS 1·8 introduced in 1968; these models were externally distinguished by a bonnet scoop. A distinctive rotary coupé was offered briefly (q.v.).
