Mazda 2 (DY).jpg

Mazda Demio (DY3W/DY3R/DY5W/DY5R/B2W). 2002–7 (prod. n/a). 5-door sedan. F/F, F/A, 1242, 1348, 1388, 1498, 1596 cm³ (I4 DOHC), 1399 cm³ diesel (I4 OHC). Far more competitive, sharing a platform with the Ford Fiesta Mk VI; redesigned DOHC units for the home market, and Ford units for Spanish-made 2s. More fun to drive than the equivalent Fiesta or Ford Fusion (B226), and behind contemporary class leader Honda Fit (GD). The 121 export name was retired in favour of Mazda 2.

Manufacturing locations: Hiroshima, Japan; Almussafes, Spain

Marque: Mazda | Model: Mazda Demio | Predecessor: Mazda Demio (DW) | Successor: Mazda Demio (DE)
