Mazda Axela (BM/BY). 2013 to date (prod. n/a). 4- and 5-door sedan. F/F, F/A, 1496, 1998 cm³ petrol, 2191 cm³ diesel (I4 DOHC). Very elegant, longer Axela, with more dynamic Japanese styling. Skyactiv technologies for saving fuel, using 14:1 compression, whether petrol or diesel; Bluetooth, hands-free calling and active safety features inside. Agile and composed, with good grip, though lacking the sparkle of the Ford Focus (C346) benchmark.
