2013 Maserati Ghibli S Q4.jpg

Maserati Ghibli (M157). 2013 to date (prod. n/a). 4-door saloon. F/R, F/A, 2979 cm³ petrol, 2987 cm³ diesel (V6 DOHC). Shown first at Shanghai 2013, Maserati goes downmarket to challenge the BMW 6er-Reihe Gran Coupé, Audi A7 and Mercedes-Benz CLS (C218), and offers a diesel (from VM Motori) within its line-up. Ghibli name revived for mid-sized effort, on a platform to be later shared with Alfa Romeo and Chrysler. Familiar sexy lines. Eight-speed gearbox. Very good handler with the 50–50 weight distribution, but not as economical or as powerful as twin-turbo rivals. Creditable effort, with decent interior room compared with the likes of CLS, and suitable interior.

Manufacturing location: Grugliasco, Torino, Italy

Marque: Maserati | Model: Maserati Ghibli | Predecessor: Maserati Quattroporte IV
