MG ZS Mk III

MG ZS/MG EZS. 2016 to date (prod. n/a). 5-door SUV. F/F, 999 cm³ (I3 DOHC), 1490 cm³ (I4 DOHC), 44·5, 49, 68·3 kWh electric. Compact crossover revives MG’s ZS nameplate, though not really a continuation of the previous model line. More formal grille, catering to Chinese market. Atkinson-cycle 1·5 the base engine, with turbocharged triple delivering 4 kW more, at 92 kW. Slotted under GS, with deliveries beginning March 2017. Electric model from 2019, with regular capacity increases. Suspension on the soft side, befitting its urban status. Very good interior with high perceived quality on top models. Facelift in 2021.
