MG TF. 1953–5 (prod. 9,600, incl. 3,400 1500). 2-door roadster. F/R, 1250, 1466 cm³ (4 cyl. OHV). Stopgap development of TD before MGA arrived, essentially a facelift with headlights better integrated into the wings. Engine enlarged in 1954. Simple body-on-frame sports car, still loved by its fans, but prewar origins all too obvious by the 1950s.
