Design led by British team, though, apart from details on the grille and tailgate, a fairly conventional two-box design. Broader range than previous SW, with both sedan and sportier XRoss models offered in China at launch. Early Chinese marketing attempted to link MG 3 to iconic Austin and Morris models such as the Seven and Minor, saying this was the sixth generation of the cars. Exports expected.
