2011 MG 3.jpg

MG 3 (ZP11). 2011 to date (prod. n/a). 5-door sedan. F/F, 1346, 1498 cm³ (I4 DOHC). All-new MG 3, owing nothing to the Rover-derived model. Design led by British team, though, apart from details on the grille and tailgate, a fairly conventional two-box design. Broader range than previous SW, with both sedan and sportier XRoss models offered in China at launch. Early Chinese marketing attempted to link MG 3 to iconic Austin and Morris models such as the Seven and Minor, saying this was the sixth generation of the cars. A much more complete car than the 6, with a pleasant interior, if lacking a little in low-end torque.
