Lincoln Mark VIII (FN10). 1993–8 (prod. 126,103). 2-door coupé. F/R, 4601 cm³ (V8 DOHC). Last of the Marks, with a more modern appearance styled under Kyu Kim. Five inches longer and four inches wider than predecessor, and with an extra four inches in the wheelbase. Related to Ford Thunderbird (1989–97) and Mercury Cougar (1989–97), and also featured four-wheel independent suspension with front and rear stabilizers. Sportier than previous Mark, with smooth, new DOHC V8. New instrument panel 1995, with limited-edition LSC model débuting; Diamond Anniversary model 1996, the same year LSC became a regular model. Facelift for 1997, with high-intensity discharge headlamps and cornering lamps. Not directly replaced.
