Luxury version of [[Ford Fusion (CD338)]] initially, originally called [[Lincoln Zephyr]], built on a mid-sized [[Mazda]] platform. A heavily revised [[Ford Mondeo Mk IV]] platform underpinned the second generation, which began to look more distinctive than its sister vehicle.
