1986 Lincoln Mark VII LSC.jpg

Lincoln Continental Mark VII/Lincoln Mark VII. 1984–92 (prod. 190,536). 2-door coupé. F/R, 2443 cm³ diesel (I6 OHC), 4942 cm³ (V8 OHV). The Mark goes on to the Fox platform, along with the Ford Thunderbird (1983–6). Back to a single body style, that of a personal–luxury car. Air suspension, electronic four-channel anti-lock brakes. LSC meant to compete with European sport models, with stiffer suspension. BMW diesel for 1984–5 only. Still very American in execution. Versace designer series dropped 1986—the year the Continental badge vanished—though Bill Blass continued to the end of the run.

Manufacturing location: Wixom, Michigan, USA

Marque: Lincoln | Model: Lincoln Continental | Predecessor: Lincoln Continental Mark VI | Successor: Lincoln Mark VIII
