1992 Lincoln Continental.jpg

Lincoln Continental (FN9). 1988–94 (prod. n/a). 4-door sedan. F/F, 3797 cm³ (V6 OHV). Continental switches to front drive, on Ford Taurus Mk I platform. First Continental with airbag. Far more accommodating than bustle-back generation. Small changes to exterior in 1990 and 1994. One engine, with horsepower increases (140–160 hp) during run, but it was never enough compared to its rivals, which typically had over 200 hp. Good grip and ride, but still floaty for the most part.

Manufacturing location: Wixom, Michigan, USA

Marque: Lincoln | Model: Lincoln Continental | Predecessor: Lincoln Continental (1982–7) | Successor: Lincoln Continental (1995–2002)
