Landwind (陸風/陆风) X8. 2009 to date (prod. n/a). 5-door SUV. F/R, F/A, 1764, 1997, 2378 cm³ petrol, 2499 cm³ diesel (I4 DOHC), 1997 cm³ (I4 OHC). Mid-sized SUV with Mitsubishi petrol engines and VM diesel. New two-litre from 2014, with super- and turbocharging, delivered 140 kW, comparable with larger units, but with lower fuel consumption. Gearbox not the smoothest, and SOHC two-litre considered a handicap torque-wise versus more commonplace DOHC units. High floor, so not that practical. Ride considered good, but not class-leading. Turbocharged 1·8 DOHC unit from 2018 model year, when SOHC unit deleted from range.
