LM Sovra LM3. 1973–80 (prod. 23, incl. kits). 3-door coupé. R/R, 1285, 1493, 1584 cm³ (F4 OHV). French buggy manufacturer working with Beetle chassis decides to go upmarket, with a four-seat coupé. The original sketch was always sleeker; in reality, the LM3 was compromised by its reliance on mass-market parts, such as the Renault 15 windscreen and doors, and Renault 12 headlights, though much of the body was fibreglass. Chassis from Volkswagen 1302 or 1303, with MacPherson front suspension.
