2013 Kia Soul.jpg

Kia Soul (기아 쏘울) (PS). 2013–19 (prod. n/a). 5-door sedan. F/F, 1582 cm³ diesel, 1591, 1999 cm³ petrol (I4 DOHC), 27, 30 kWh electric. Kia’s funky, boxy crossover hatchback back for a second generation with similar design themes, including blacked-out A-pillars, but tougher looks as well as greater rigidity. Wider, with longer wheelbase. Engines carried over. Roomy, with poor ride if larger wheels are selected. Some roll, thanks to its height, and understeer. Parking assist and lane departure available, but in some countries, they are on more expensive models. Soul EV from 2014 with a 93-mile range, thanks to larger 30·5 kWh lithium-ion battery pack (27 kWh usable) when most electric cars were offered with a 20–4 kWh one. Later upgraded to 31·8 kWh (30 kWh usable).

Manufacturing location: Gwangju (광주시), Honam, Korea

Marque: Kia | Model: Kia Soul | Predecessor: Kia Soul (AM) | Successor: Kia Soul (SK3)
