Kia Opirus (GH). 2003–11 (prod. n/a). 4-door sedan. F/F, 2656, 2972, 3342, 3497, 3778 cm³ (V6 DOHC). Conceived as a successor to the Hyundai Dynasty, using the platform of the Hyundai Grandeur (XG), but shifted to Kia during development. Name a contraction of opinion leader of us. First facelift in 2006, with new engines, including a 3·3 V6, and greater use of aluminium in the engine block helped lessen the weight. Final facelift in 2009 with deeper grille and six-speed automatic transmission, but exports discontinued that year.
