2015 Jeep Renegade.jpg

Jeep Renegade (BU/B1/BQ). 2014 to date (prod. n/a). 5-door SUV. F/F, F/A, 999 cm³ (I3 DOHC), 1368, 1598, 2360 cm³ (I4 OHC), 1332, 1368, 1747 cm³ petrol, 1598, 1956 cm³ diesel, 11·4 kWh–1332 cm³ electric–petrol hybrid (I4 DOHC). Subcompact SUV, slotting below Compass and Patriot, on the Fiat Grande Punto platform—though at a size closer to the Nissan Dualis (J10). Aimed at younger markets worldwide. Built in Italy, alongside platform-mate Fiat 500X. Lots of recognizable Fiat switchgear in the cabin, unrefined with wind noise, with poor grip on-road; reasonably capable off-road for its class, with ultra-short crawler transmission ratio and Hill Descent Control. Roomy interior. Hit European showrooms July 1, 2014; designated 2015 model year for USA. Revisions in 2018, with new 1·0 and 1·3 petrol units. Plug-in hybrid from 2020.

Manufacturing location: Melfi, Potenza, Italy; Goiana, Pernambuco, Brazil

Marque: Jeep | Model: Jeep Renegade
