Jaguar XJS. 1991–6 (prod. 27,406, incl. 8,832 coupé and 18,574 convertible). 2-door coupé, 2-door convertible. F/R, 3980 cm³ (I6 DOHC), 5343, 5994 cm³ (V12 OHC). First major restyling for XJ-S, hyphen now removed from the name. Flying buttresses remained for coupé but window line opened up; rear modernized. Smarter cabin and better handling. Enlarged AJ6 engine; V12 upped to six litres (318 bhp, 342 lb ft) in 1993. Convertible gets 2+2 seating in 1993. Major changes to AJ6 engine in 1994, 60th anniversary models in 1995.
