The second of two new SUVs from JAC in 2014 targeting the growing segment. Protruding nose, undertyred appearance. Engine rated at 83 kW, not that competitive, but good for fuel economy. Interior better put together than with other JAC models. MacPherson struts at front, semi-independent rear torsion beams, geared more to urban driving than twisty lanes. Aimed at youth market. Ultimately, the S3 gained a reputation for spotty quality and sales began dropping.
