Isuzu Piazza (JT221). 1991–4 (prod. 16,695 sold approx. in US, Canada and Japan). 3-door coupé. F/F, F/A, 1588, 1809 cm³ (I4 DOHC). Designed in-house, second-generation Piazza lost the cohesiveness of the original. Smaller engine and all-wheel drive for export models. Suspension tuned by Lotus, part of GM at the time. Related to contemporary Gemini and Isuzu PA Nero. Exported as Impulse to North America, which also saw an Impulse hatchback that had the Piazza’s nose but the PA hatchback’s rear.
