Isuzu Impulse. 1990–2 (prod. n/a). 3-door sedan. F/F, F/A, 1471, 1588, 1809 cm³ (I4 DOHC). The US got its Piazza replacement in 1990, since the previous model was getting long in the tooth. Not as graceful as the original, with a capsule-like shape and Piazza styling cues added. Handling by Lotus, making it a well balanced car. Essentially the Japanese-market PA Nero hatchback, as it would later be called, but with the front end that would eventually grace the second-generation Piazza.
