Isuzu Axiom (178/E-UPS26FW). 2001–4 (prod. 20,000 approx.). 5-door SUV. F/R, F/A, 3494 cm³ (V6 DOHC). SUV with the same platform as Isuzu Wizard (UE), made in the US for North America, but targeting the crossover market. However, the old platform meant poor ergonomics, handling and refinement, and cramped rear passenger space. Featured Isuzu’s first direct-injection petrol engine. Power raised from 230 hp to 250 hp for final model year.
