1978 Innocenti Mini 90L.jpg

Innocenti Mini (P53). 1974–81 (prod. 350,000 all variants). 3-door saloon. F/F, 998, 1275 cm³ (I4 OHV). The nuova Mini: very handsome Italian adaptation of the original BMC Mini, with a hatchback added, and prior to its launch even mooted as a Mini successor for the 1970s. Styled by Marcello Gandini at Bertone. Sold in other European countries but not officially in the UK. When the Austin Mini Metro launched, the 120 was deleted in favour of the Mille, a facelifted deluxe version, while the 90 eventually gained that model’s bumpers. Continued till the end of 1981 when BL ceased supplying the engines.

Manufacturing location: Lambrate, Milano, Italy

Marque: Innocenti | Model: Innocenti Mini | Predecessor: Innocenti Mini Mk III | Successors: Austin Mini Metro, Innocenti Mille (1980–1), Innocenti 3 Cilindri

q.v. Innocenti Mini de Tomaso
