QX50 switches to a platform related to the Nissan Murano (Z52), and introduces the world’s first variable-compression-ratio engine. Transverse engine, rather than longitudinal this time. Quiet cabin and comfortable interior, but VCR engine noisy, not helped by CVT transmission. Fuel economy not as good as expected given the VCR engine. Light steering, average handling—a let-down considering how competent its predecessor was when new.
Marque: Infiniti | Model: Infiniti QX50 | Predecessor: Infiniti EX
