1968 Imperial.jpg

Imperial Sedan/Imperial Crown/Imperial LeBaron. 1967–8 (prod. 32,975). 4-door sedan, 4-door hardtop, 2-door coupé, 2-door convertible. F/R, 440 in³ (V8 OHV). Imperial hits its stride. Ample legroom, decent quality, crisp, and elegant styling. New sheetmetal for 1967, and a new unit construction body. New interior, with real walnut dashboard. Equipment levels above its rivals, including power windows—still an extra at Cadillac. Superior roadholding compared with Cadillac and Lincoln, but still third on the pecking order for American buyers. Minor changes for 1968.

Manufacturing location: USA

Marque: Imperial | Predecessor: Imperial (1964–6) | Successor: Imperial (1969–73)
