Hyundai Verna/Hyundai Avega (LC). 1999–2013 (prod. n/a). 3-, 4- and 5-door sedan. F/F, 1341, 1495 cm³ (I4 OHC), 1495 cm³ (I4 DOHC). Accent with more squared off looks, part of Hyundai’s design language at the millennium, and meant to appeal to a broader age group rather than the youth market. Three- and four-door launched June 1999, five-door hatchback a month later. Mid-term facelift in 2002. Roomy and well equipped, but interior finished left something to be desired, and unrefined with poor ride.
