Coupé with some components initially shared with Honda Accord, reaching its pinnacle in terms of press coverage and international standing in its third generation, which saw four-wheel steering introduced for the first time. Sales began to decline afterwards as Honda pushed the Prelude out of class 5 in its home market, while Honda buyers in export markets had other offerings that suited them more. The line was cancelled after the fifth generation as the Integra became the corporate sports’ car.
