Honda Fit (GD). 2001–9 (prod. 3,500,000 incl. GE to July 2010). 4- and 5-door sedan. F/F, F/A, 1246, 1339, 1496 cm³ (I4 OHC). Entry-level Honda in most export markets, beloved of OAPs in some and of youngsters in others. Hatchback exported to some countries as Honda Jazz. Clever, changeable seating, offering greater flexibility than some minivans. Roomy inside, though styling considered odd. Considered one of the best superminis in its time. Booted sedan (from 2002) called Fit Aria in Japan; City in Thailand (q.v.) and some other markets. It was the Fit Saloon in China. Hatchback replaced 2007; Saloon continued to 2009 in China.
