2012 Honda Civic.jpg

Honda Civic (HF/FB/FB4/FB2/FB6/FG3/FG4). 2011–17 (prod. n/a). 4- and 5-door sedan, 5-door wagon, 2-door coupé. F/F, 1339, 1595, 1799, 1996, 1997 cm³ petrol, 1497 cm³ petrol–electric hybrid (I4 OHC), 1597, 2199 cm³ diesel, 2354 cm³ petrol (I4 DOHC). Ninth-generation Civic an evolution of the previous one, with 2·4-litre 205 PS engine inherited from Accord for Si model. Really a refresh, not an all-new car, with similar exterior dimensions, though larger interior. Announced for US market first, for 2012 model year; light refresh for 2013 with equipment upgrades. Some road noise, but perfectly competent, but not at the top of the class. Five-door shown at Frankfurt 2011. Not as adventurous as previous model, and not likely to lower Honda’s median age in Europe any time soon. Attractive wagon shown at Genève 2013, deleted 2017.

Manufacturing locations: Suzuka, Mie, Japan; Swindon, Wiltshire, England; Greensburg, Indiana, USA; Alliston, Ontario, Canada; Sumaré, São Paulo, Brazil; Wuhan, Hebei, China; Pingtung, Taiwan, Rep. of China; Ayutthaya, Thailand

Marque: Honda | Model: Honda Civic | Predecessor: Honda Civic (2005–12) | Successor: Honda Civic (2015–)
