Honda City (AA). 1981–6 (prod. n/a). 3-door sedan, 2-door convertible. F/F, F/A, 1231 cm³ (I4 OHC). Tall, spacious hatchback, slotting in beneath Civic, with option of small 50 cm³ folding motorcycle in Japanese market called Motocompo (prod. 53,369). Turbo models (from 1982) included wide-body variant. Usual Honda virtues of good economy and clever design. Originally tipped by media to be called Vigor; car called Jazz in Europe as Opel owned the City name there.
