Originally a sister car to the Honda Accord for the Primo sales’ network, before the nameplate became two different models in 1993, a compact premium sedan, and the Ascot Innova, a four-door fastback that formed the basis of the European-market Accord. All were replaced with a single line, the Torneo, which had been developed in the wake of the Japanese bubble economy collapsing.
