1997 Honda Accord Wagon.jpg

Honda Accord. 1997–2002 (prod. unknown). 4-door sedan, 5-door wagon. F/F, F/A, 2254 cm³ (4 cyl. SOHC). Honda divided Accord nameplate for these years: one car for the domestic market at the 1,700 mm width (within the size 5 tax bracket), a wider one for export to US and Australasia related to the Honda Inspire, and one for Europe. Domestic market had 2·3-litre 4AT engine with variable valve timing, and four-wheel-drive option. Narrow and dull in appearance though sporty design for wagon has merit. Spun off a Honda Torneo line these years, with smaller engines.
