Holden Sandman (HZ).jpg

Holden Sandman (HJ/HX/HZ). 1974–80 (prod. n/a). 2-door pick-up, 2-door panel van. F/R, 3310 cm³ (I6 OHV), 4142, 5044 cm³ (V8 OHV). A very 1970s phenomenon: a panel van with sporting accessories and paint job, ensuring that Holden got sales for a commercial vehicle to the civilian market. Similar sporting looks were used for the ute. Followed the model changes of the Belmont and Kingswood. The HQ Sandmans bore Belmont or Kingswood badges and are not covered here, but HJ through HZ were considered a separate line.

Manufacturing locations: Brisbane, Queensland, Australia; Dandenong, Victoria, Australia; Adelaide, South Australia, Australia; Sydney, NSW, Australia

Marque: Holden | Predecessor: Holden Belmont (HQ), Holden Kingswood (HQ) | Successor: Holden Kingswood (WB)
