Holden Gemini (TX). 1975–7 (prod. 42,792). 4-door sedan, 2-door coupé. F/R, 1584 cm³ (4 cyl. OHC). Holden edition of GM’s T-car, twinned with Isuzu Gemini and filling the Torana’s former four-cylinder niche. The name was licensed from Isuzu, and suggested the car’s dual manufacture (Japan and Australia). High standard of equipment for the 1970s, and sold on Japanese features alongside Holden dependability. Wheels Car of the Year for 1975–6.
