Holden Gemini (TE). 1979–82 (prod. 70,567). 4-door sedan, 3-door wagon. F/R, 1584 cm³ petrol, 1817 cm³ diesel (I4 OHC). Facelifted Gemini, resembling Holden Commodore (VB), changes shared with Isuzu Gemini (1979–85). Power dropped again (to 50 kW) for fuel economy, and SL/X diesel introduced. Coupé no longer available. Aside from diesel, still a popular model in Australia, though with Ford’s front-wheel-drive Laser introduced in 1981, its days were numbered.
