Holden Caprice (WM).jpg

Holden Caprice (WM). 2006–13 (prod. n/a). 4-door sedan. F/R, 3564 cm³ (V6 DOHC), 5967 cm³ (V8 OHV). Holden preferred to consider Caprice a separate line from Statesman. Launched 2006 at the same time as Holden Commodore (VE) and regular Statesman, both Statesman and Caprice got unique longer rear doors for the longer wheelbase. Kits exported to China for assembly as Buick Park Avenue (2007–12) and to Korea as Daewoo Veritas; but main export market was Middle East where cars were badged Chevrolet Caprice, an old US model name. Generous equipment levels and well priced in home market. The US and Canada got the model from 2010, but only for law-enforcement usage, and equipment levels were more spartan. With demise of Ford Fairlane and LTD, Statesman and Caprice became the only long-wheelbase large sedans produced in Australia. Series 2 from September 2010, during which Caprice absorbed the Statesman range.

Manufacturing location: Elizabeth, South Australia, Australia

Marque: Holden | Model: Holden Caprice | Predecessors: Holden Caprice (WL), Holden Statesman (WM) | Successor: Holden Caprice (WN)
