1991 Holden Apollo.jpg

Holden Apollo (JK/JL). 1989–93 (prod. n/a). 4-door sedan, 5-door wagon. F/F, 1998 cm³ (I4 DOHC). Toyota Camry (V20) by any other name, built in a Toyota factory in Australia when manufacturers there were forced to cooperate under a motor industry plan. Replaced Camira, just as the bugs were ironed out. Mechanically identical to Camry, which meant dependable if dull motoring, and was outsold by it. Mid-term revisions in August 1991, kicking off JL series.

Manufacturing location: Altona, Victoria, Australia

Marque: Holden | Model: Holden Apollo | Predecessor: Holden Camira (JE) | Successor: Holden Apollo (1993–7)
